Top 7 Disney Tips to Make your Vacation Magical!

Top 7 Disney Tips to Make your Vacation Magical!

1. Stay on Property!

Yep I said it! I know there are tons of hotels in Orlando, but saving $20 a night is not worth the traffic, parking fees at the parks, and your actual sanity. I mean, who wants to fight rush hour on vacation and have a brawl with your family before you even arrive at the parks? Being in the Disney Bubble is worth every single cent, even at the value resorts! You pull up, park your car and let someone else do the driving for the whole week!

2. Buy the Genie Plus Service!

WHY would you not? You already spent $2000+ to be here, why would you not spend $15 more a day to skip some major lines? Thats crazy talk! If we are pinching Pennies, I would easily skip a Character Meal to buy Genie Plus. All of my clients receive a pre vacay call to go over how to use Genie Plus so they go in armed with knowledge of how to make the most of it!

3.  Pack Your Park Bag!  You can take a small backpack on EVERY RIDE except Tron- and for TRON they offer free lockers!

Cheap ponchos, external phone battery, Hydroflask, Bandaids, snacks and Meds!  Email me for my full list!  I will happily send it to you for free!  s.lawrence@magicalvacationplanner.com

BONUS TIP-  There are baby stations that have all the things that you might have forgotten for FREE as well as a first aid station where you can be seen by an EMT or RN for minor injury or to grab some beds for allergy, headache, ect.!

4.  Make a 3:00 / 4:00 Dinner Reservation-

It is the HOTTEST part of the day, take a break!  It doesn’t have to be a character meal, but a sit down dinner with unlimited water, cokes and AC is JUST what you’ll need!  When you finish, the rest of the world will be headed to dinner!  Lower crowds, happy kids, and a sun that is setting makes it all so lovely!

5. Make a List!  What is everyone’s #1 MUST DO at each park!   Give your travel party a chance to voice their Disney Dream! Maybe its find a the Totcho’s at Hollywood Studios or maybe it is riding Guardians of the Galaxy at Epcot.  It is easy to get into planning mode and start ticking things off only to realize that no one even wanted to do that next thing on the list!   Of course if there is time, tack it on, but prioritize!  There are ZERO ways you can do it all in a day!

6. Take a Day Off!

Pick your Halfway Point and schedule a down day!  Sleep in, go to the pool and play games with the event staff, roast marshmallows, go visit the monorail resorts, take in a fancy dinner and watch the fireworks from the beach!   There is SO much to do that isn’t at the parks!  You can cash in on your free Disney Mini Golf round or take a tour of the skyliner hotels!   All I know is your little toes might need a break from 20,000 steps a day!

7.   Use a Travel Agent!   Its FREE!

You are already paying the exact same price if you book online or call it in, so why would you not take the help!  Magical Vacation Planner is the highest level,  Diamond Level Earmarked Agency, and I personally have been to Disney World more times than I could even count!  We have done trips while I was pregnant, with babies, 3 toddlers, all the way up to now three teenagers! We have traveled with people who have special needs and have navigated that as well!  And finally,  we LOVE our adults only trips to Disney World!  Last year I did a RUN DISNEY event and completed the Wine and Dine Half Marathon!  If you are thinking of a trip to see Mickey, I am your girl!
